 FALL RIVER HVAC FIRM RECEIVES THE HONORED PATRIOT AWARD FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE

FALL RIVER, MA. October 29, 2009. The Massachusetts Committee for the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, on behalf of The U.S. Department of Defense, presented Mr. George Mercier, CEO of GM Refrigeration, The Patriot Award here today. Well known throughout The "Spindle City" GM has provided their customers with prompt, professional and everyday 24-hour service since 1950. Although it was a very gloomy day outside, the Pleasant Street Headquarters of GM Refrigeration was full of excitement and pride. Mr. Mercier and GM Refrigeration were nominated for the award by Senior Airman Corey Gallant, a member of the U. S. Air Force Reserve.   

GM technicians are extensively trained, certified, licensed, and fully insured. With a staff of 33 employees, GM's technicians possess over 200 years of combined experience and technical know-how. The company has the reputation as being "THE PROBLEM SOLVERS". Mr. Mercier spoke in glowing terms about Airman Gallant and his dedicated service to GM and the nation. He stated that" "Corey brings to GM the leadership, discipline and values he acquired in the Air Force to work with him every day!" Completely computerized dispatching, and extensive parts inventory, and the highest quality technicians in the business help GM maintain a level of service second to none. Twice a citizen Gallant is part of the great GM Team.   

The National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) is a Department of Defense agency established in 1972. The mission of ESGR is to gain and maintain employer support for Guard and Reserve service by recognizing outstanding support, increasing awareness of the USERRA law of 1994 and resolving conflicts through mediation. The MA Committee has more than 35 volunteers dedicated to helping every "Citizen Soldier".  On hand representing MAESGR were Awards Director Roger Fortin and Program Support Specialist David St. Germain.
