MASSACHUSETTS POLICE TRAINING ACADEMY PENS A STATEMENT OF SUPPORT

RANDOLPH, MA. October 28, 2009. An old restored historic school building in Randolph, MA houses one of the most important institutes of higher learning in the entire State of Massachusetts. Every municipal police officer in the state is aware of or has attended classes there. It houses the Municipal Police Training Committee. The Committee, led by Executive Director Daniel R. Zivkovich, overseas all police academy operations in Massachusetts. Mr. Zivkovich contacted the Massachusetts ESGR Committee with a request to sign a Statement of Support. Mr. Zivkovich stated he was very familiar with ESGR because he had previously signed a Statement of Support with the Wyoming ESGR Committee. Before assuming his duties here in Massachusetts, he was the director of  The Police Training Academies for the State of Wyoming.

The National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) is a Department of Defense agency established in 1972. The mission of ESGR is to gain and maintain employer support for Guard and Reserve service by recognizing outstanding support, increasing awareness of the USERRA law of 1994 and resolving conflicts through mediation. The MA Committee has more than 35 volunteers dedicated to helping every "Citizen Soldier". On hand representing MAESGR were Awards Director Roger Fortin, Southeastern MA Area Chair, retired Hingham MA Police Chief and Senior Ombudsman Joachim-Ingo "Ski" Borowski and Program Support Specialist David St. Germain.
