BOSTON, MA. November 10, 2009. One Ashburton Place in
Historic Boston was the venue today for the presentation of the
honored Patriot Award to the Chief, Trial Division, and Government
Bureau Massachusetts Office, of the Attorney General. Mr. Tom Boyle,
Chairman for the Massachusetts Committee for Employer Support of the
Guard and Reserve (MA ESGR), presented the award to Ms. Rosemary Connolly in
front of about 35 members of her staff.
Ms. Connolly was nominated for the Honor by Mr.
Jeffrey Collins of her staff who is also a Lieutenant (LT) in the
Navy Reserve. LT Collins stated that, "Taking time for the Navy,
and conducting my annual training, has never been an issue with
Rosemary, In fact, my boss has been fully supportive of my Navy
demands and requirements. This allows me to accomplish what I need
to do to fulfill my obligations. Rosemary is a true friend of the
military and fully supports our service men and women." Ms. Connolly
was surprised and delighted to accept the award from Chairman
Boyle.
The National Committee for Employer Support of
the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) is a Department of Defense agency
established in 1972. The mission of ESGR is to gain and maintain
employer support for Guard and Reserve service by recognizing
outstanding support, increasing awareness of the USERRA law of 1994
and resolving conflicts through mediation. The MA Committee has more
than 40 volunteers dedicated to helping every "Citizen Soldier".
On hand representing MAESGR with Field Chair Boyle were Senior
Ombudsman and Southeastern Area Chair Joachim-Ingo Borowski and
Program Support Specialist David St. Germain.
