BOSTON, MA. November 23, 2009. The Westin Boston Harbor Hotel in the Historic Seaport District of Boston was the setting for the presentation of The Patriot Award. Mr. Carlos Wilson was awarded a Patriot Award in the Penfield's Business Center located within the Westin Hotel. Mr. Wilson was nominated for the honor by employee and Massachusetts Army National Guard Member, Specialist (SPC) Oscar Tinjaca-Rojas. SPC Tinjaca-Rojas said that Mr. Wilson was very understanding of his needs and those of the Army National Guard. He also thanked Mr. Wilson for his total support of his participation in his unit's training events, despite staffing shortages at Penfield's. For more than 15 years, Penfield's has provided hotels worldwide with forward thinking and innovative business and shipping services. They are the premier operator of hotel business centers, dedicated to providing a multitude of services that exceed guest expectations in one centralized location within each hote1. 

The National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) is a Department of Defense agency established in 1972. The mission of ESGR is to gain and maintain employer support for Guard and Reserve service by recognizing outstanding support, increasing awareness of the USERRA law of 1994 and resolving conflicts through mediation. The MA Committee has more than 35 volunteers dedicated to helping every "Citizen Soldier". On hand representing MAESGR was Eastern MA Area Chair John Pelose.
