WORLD LEADER IN FIBER-OPTICS CLEARLY SEES THE NEED TO SUPPORT THE TROOPS

CHARLTON, MA. April 26, 2010. Jack Cassidy, Manufacturing Supervisor for Incom, Inc. of Charlton MA, was awarded a Department of Defense Patriot Award by ESGR today for outstanding support to one of their employees who serves in the Massachusetts Air National Guard. In her nomination, Rosea Pheap spoke highly of her supervisor noting that Mr. Cassidy is very supportive and understanding when it comes to her short notice calls for duty and long deployments.

ESGR volunteer Richard Pelosi and Sergeant First Class (SFC) Richard Reynolds from the National Guard presented the award before more than 40 of Incom employees and in the presence of the company's senior leadership. Mr. Cassidy stated: "I would like to thank the Detarando family here at Incom for setting the example for me since I started just over a year ago. Their commitment to the community as well as their employees made it easy for me to be "an understanding" supervisor when it came to Rosie's situation with her Military Duties. "

After the award presentation, Michael LeBlanc, Facilities and Compliance Manager took the stage to acknowledge another Citizen Soldier who would soon be deploying and leading a Company of Marines overseas. He noted that the Marine Reservist will be using a lot of night vision during his missions. (Incom has supported 20 years of U.S. superiority in night warfare, contributing inverters and faceplates that help turn starlight into daylight in night vision goggles, helmet-mounted displays and cameras). "This brings what we do to a personal level. One of Incom's own will be depending on us. "

INCOM has over 200 employees and more than 90,000 square feet in two facilities. As the world's leading manufacturer for commercial rigid, fused fiber-optic faceplates, tapers, and micro-well arrays, INCOM offers its customers both experience and expertise. Their advanced technology supports researchers, scientists, and instrument makers in the dental, medical, life science, scientific, homeland security, and defense industries.
