HUDSON, MA. June 14, 2010. Top Ambulance Service is an independently owned mobile service. One of their employees, Ms. Joyce H. Avedisian is also a Senior Airman (SrA) in the Air National Guard. In her nomination statement, she wrote; "Although Top Ambulance is a small company, ever since I was hired, Mr. Pattison and Mr. Silva have both been supportive of my military membership in the Air National Guard. The company has paid other employees overtime to fill shifts necessary in my absence, so that my job will be ready for me upon my  return. The Company and staff are all supportive of the troops and the American way of life every single day!: Mr. Pattison stated; "The outstanding military values that Joyce brings with her every day of  employment here at Top Ambulance, has a positive effect and sets a high example for all members of the company to follow!" The ceremony was witnessed by 6 other employees. 

The Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) is a Department of Defense agency established in 1972. The mission of ESGR is to gain and maintain employer support for Guard and Reserve service by recognizing outstanding support, increasing awareness of the USERRA law of 1994 and resolving conflicts through mediation. The MA Field Office has more than 40 volunteers dedicated to helping every "Citizen Soldier". On hand representing MAESGR were Volunteer Roger Fortin and Program Support Specialist David St. Germain.
