        THE HOME STORE PRESIDENT IS PRESENTED THE PATRIOT AWARD

                              

  

 

                     

    WHATELY, MA. June 29, 2010. The Home Store is the largest custom modular home builder in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, and New Jersey with thirteen locations serving this area. In business since 1986, the Home Store has built over 1,000 homes. At the company's headquarters in Whately, Massachusetts, Mr. Andrew Gianino, the President of the Home Store received the Patriot Award during a brief ceremony. He was nominated for this award by employee Michael Barna who is also a SMSgt in the U.S. Air Force Reserve.  

In the nomination of his boss, SMSgt Barna highlighted the support his military career receives including the continuation of benefits when on military orders. Upon accepting the award, Mr. Gianino said he was proud to be able to help Michael and thanked him for the high level of responsibility he brings to the job. Mr. Gianino is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.    

Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) is a Department of Defense agency established in 1972. The mission of ESGR is to gain and maintain employer support for Guard and Reserve service by recognizing outstanding support, increasing awareness of the USERRA law of 1994 and resolving conflicts through mediation. The MA Field Office has more than 40 volunteers dedicated to helping every "Citizen Soldier". On hand representing MAESGR were Volunteer Diane Swain, Ombudsman Director and Western MA Area Chair Earl Bonett and Staff Member Bill Hebert.
