          MARYLOU’S COFFEE HOUSE RECEIVES THE PATRIOT AWARD

 

                              

  

 

                     

    CEDARVILLE, MA. July 9, 2010. Specialist (SPC) Kerri Babbitt, U.S. Army Reserve thinks highly of her boss. So much so that Ms. Babbitt nominated her employer, Ms. Jessica Lally of Marylou's Coffee for a Patriot Award. After receiving the Award, Ms. Lally stated that she was very pleased with being considered for the award and that she thoroughly respected Kerri Babbitt and her service in the Army Reserve. She added: "We never had a problem with working through her drill scheduling or any other extra training requirements for the Army Reserve. We were glad and proud to help her with her military career. "

Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) is a Department of Defense agency established in 1972. The mission of ESGR is to gain and maintain employer support for Guard and Reserve service by recognizing outstanding support, increasing awareness of the USERRA law of 1994 and resolving conflicts through mediation. The Massachusetts Field Office has more than 40 volunteers dedicated to helping every "Citizen Soldier". On hand representing MAESGR were MA Ombudsman Director Earl Bonett, Volunteer Roger Fortin and Program Support Specialist David St. Germain.
