SPRINGFIELD, MA. July 16, 2010. Ms. Winkler's employee Shane Robitaille has a second career as Senior Master Sergeant (SMSgt) in the US Air Force Reserve (USAFR). The high value the USAFR places on the civilian employers of its service members was evident as two senior members of SMSgt Robitaille's unit took time from their busy schedules to attend the ceremony Major Hosey and Chief Master Sergeant Seney both spoke of the importance of employer support such as that given to SMSgt Robitaille. Upon receiving the award, Ms. Winkler said she felt it was her duty to support Shane and all military members.

In the nomination of his boss for the Patriot Award, SMSgt Robitaille wrote: "Angie has always been supportive of the military, especially the Reserves and National Guard. Knowing that the company and my direct supervisor are so supportive goes a long way - providing peace of mind and security for my family - especially during mobilizations."
