      LOCAL OFFICE OF A NATIONAL ENGINEERING FIRM RECEIVES THE PATRIOT AWARD

 

  

 

                     

    BROCKTON, MA. August 14, 2010. Mr. John Gerish, PE, is the manager of the Massachusetts office of Reynolds Smith & Hill Engineering Solutions. He accepted the Patriot Award today from Massachusetts Field Office Volunteer Roger Fortin. Mr. Gerish was recommended for the honor by one of his employees, Juan Ocampo, who is also a Sergeant (SGT) in the Army National Guard. In accepting the Patriot Award, Mr. Gerish stated that Reynolds Smith & Hill, as a firm, was very proud of SGT Ocampo and his military service to the Nation during these perilous times. He further stated that SGT Ocamp brings a high level of professionalism to the job at RSH and that his ability to do the job is part of his "Can-Do" spirit gained from military service.   

Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) is a Department of Defense agency established in 1972. The mission of ESGR is to gain and maintain employer support for Guard and Reserve service by recognizing outstanding support, increasing awareness of the USERRA law of 1994 and resolving conflicts through mediation. The MA Field Office has more than 40 volunteers dedicated to helping every "Citizen Soldier". On hand representing MAESGR were Volunteer Roger Fortin and Program Support Specialist David St. Germain.
