      CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER FOR COMCAST RECEIVES THE PATRIOT AWARD

  

  

 

                     

    PLYMOUTH, MA. August 19, 2010. Chris Giblin is the Customer Service Manager for Comcast Television here in Plymouth, MA. He was presented with the Patriot Award today with seven other employees in attendance. Mr. Giblin was nominated for the award by one of his employees, Brian Savior. Brian is also a Sergeant (SGT) in the Massachusetts Army National Guard. After receiving the honor, Mr. Giblin stated that SGT Savior consistently provides outstanding service to the company. He attributes his military service and the code of values that The National Guard instills in their personnel to Brian's strong work ethic. He stated that SGT Savior is always on time, never absent and provides a "Can-do" spirit to any assignment both in and out of military service. Also on hand was Karen Hartzell, Vice President for Customer Service, Greater Boston Region.   

Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) is a Department of Defense agency established in 1972. The mission of ESGR is to gain and maintain employer support for Guard and Reserve service by recognizing outstanding support, increasing awareness of the USERRA law of 1994 and resolving conflicts through mediation. The MA Field Office has more than 40 volunteers dedicated to helping every "Citizen Soldier". On hand representing MAESGR was Program Support Specialist David St. Germain.
